I purchased an Iomega 100 zip drive to ONLY retrieve data (pics/files) from a stack of old zip disks. My Lenovo laptop(windows 8) nor my HP Desktop (windows 7) recognize the external usb zip drive.

Are there compatible drivers anywhere? Ispent hours online trying to ascertain/fix the incompatability issues as well as the outdated driver issues without success.
The disk provided for installation contains outdated drivers. I'm not a technician. Any assistance would be helpful. I have a working,functional external hard drive. I simply want to retrieve the data off the old iomega zip 100 disks.

I don't plan to do anything else with the zips or the zip drive. And yes, I should've accomplished this sooner, but as many busy folks know, sometimes timecan get the better of you. The loss of this data would be at best heart breaking as the disks contain original, irreplaceable data and pictures.
